4g sim in 3g android phone used in a 3g only area

I live out in the boonies with 3g reception, and have a 3g android phone. There is little or no prospect of getting 4g because the population density doesn't warrant the investment. Can i put a 4g sim in my phone and use it on a 3g coverage area? I use no data and have no need for data.

Hey @Mybackyard,

Welcome to the iD Community!

You can indeed use a 4G SIM card in an area where there is only 3G signal present as it will just use that available service automatically.
