Hi, just bought p30 lite new edition. Was on Samsung note 9. I want to change how text messages are sent. On the note it used WiFi or 4g. I can't work out how to not send by sms. I hope this makes sense.

I’ve never had a Note 9 myself to be able to think to what it was you’re referring to. Though it could potentially be something that was a Samsung exclusive possibly?
I’m assuming it was some sort of Samsung equivalent of Apple’s iMessage you had used?
I think your best bet generally speaking would be to use things like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Line, WeChat, etc.
This tends to be the best way to share photos, videos, links, easily just over your data instead of potentially costing you more (due to MMS costs per message).
