Not able to send emails on mobile data

Hi

My Samsung s10+ will not send emails unless I am connected to Wifi.

My partner has the same sim as me , if I put her sim in, I can send email.

I have already replaced the sim with a new one , it still won't send email, any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Waynespill,

I am sorry to hear about that! Is your wife with iD Mobile too then when you say you have the same SIM card? What happens if you try your SIM card in her phone and try to send an email; does it work?

Just to clarify, my partner is also on id mobile, if I put her sim in my phone I can send email, if I put my sim in her phone I cannot send email. I have ordered a new sim but it has made no change.

Hi there @Waynespill 

Is Mobile Data working fine for other things (such as opening websites, watching videos, social media, etc?). 

If so, then that would definitely indicate that there is a setting somewhere related to the email service you use on that Samsung S10+ that is preventing emails from updating or working general unless on WiFi.

Is it the native email service you’re using on the phone?  Or is it a specialist email app?

This has now been sorted with a software update, how do I close the question,
