outgoing calls

why is there no dialling tone for outgoing calls (within the UK) and I cannot hear the recipient even when they can hear me?

Have you tried using your sim inside another phone? 

Please try this and let us know if you still have the same problem.

Hi,

I tried a different sim in my phone and it seemed to work which makes me think it is the sim which is the problem, rather than the handset. But it seems to be working better today - its a bit temperamental...
