Samsung S5 - suddenly not working for texts/calls/whatsapp

I have a Samsung S5. 36 hours ago it suddenly stopped receiving calls, texts, and WhatsApp has stopped working too. The phone can connect to the internet on wifi however, so it’s really confusing.

Can anyone help please?

There has been no change in use/upgrades/contact uploads or downloads - I say this as iD keeps defaulting to this as a possible reason for phone failure, but it’s not the case here.

We can certainly try a few things to get this sorted.

Does the handset connect to the network and read the SIM?

Could you please try removing the SIM and reinserting it and then resetting your network settings? You can also try and manually selecting the iD Mobile network from your network settings.

Could you also try inserting the SIM card in a different handset and check if the SIM card works better?
