Texts not sending on a Motorola E5 Play

I have a Motorola E5 Play - and I am unable to send text messages. I can make calls and use my data. 

It was working fine until a couple of days ago and now I am unable to send any text messages.

 

please can you help

Hi @lja_star,

That’s strange, have you restarted your phone since this started to happen? You might need to also check the message centre number within your phone. If you’re using the Android Messages app, please see below:
 

  1. Open Messages
  2. Press the Menu button (usually 3 dots in the top corner)
  3. Press Settings
  4. Press More Settings
  5. Press Text Messages
  6. Press Message Center
  7. Ensure that +447782000800 is displayed in the box. (Make sure the + symbol is present too)
  8. Press Set
