Welcome once again to the Community news and updates blog! As always, a big hello to our newest Community members – you guys helped break the 45,000 members mark over the past month, so a big thank you to all of you. You’re awesome.

We’ve been quietly working away in the background to make the iD Community even better. With the changes we’ve made recently, you’ll find the Community easier to navigate, get to the content you need faster, and if you post a question, get good answers in quicker time. So, what’s new?

Need help? Check the Support Categories:

So, you might have noticed that the buttons at the top of the Community are a bit different now. That’s because we’ve added ‘Support Categories’, where you’ll find all of our help and support articles. We’ve removed questions and topics posted by Community members from this section in order to make the info you need much easier to find.

All the articles and information posted in this area, have been posted by us. If you feel that any articles or the guidance provided in this area are not clear, then don’t be afraid to let us know in the comments section of that article. Check out the updated content in the ‘Support Categories’ area and see how much quicker it is to find what you need! We think you’ll be impressed.

The Community Area:

Where does everything that our wonderful Community members post get saved to from now on, then? Easy! The answer is our brand-new Community area. In there, you’ll find new, simplified categories that make it easier to post your questions and topics in the perfect place. That should definitely help speed up replies and get the conversation flowing.

It’s not just for quick replies, though. With our support categories and Community area separate, you can use the search bar to find the right answer quicker as well. It’s a smoother Community experience all-round.

The June Recap:

It’s been another brilliant month around here on the iD Community. As well as the changes we’ve made to the look and navigation, we’ve also seen nearly 1,500 new members join since the start of June. That’s big! If you’re new here, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself, start up a topic or ask a question for one of our fellow members, staff or superheroes. It’s your Community, and you should feel right at home, right away!

Want to get involved but need a little encouragement? We’ve got you. Almost 1,700 posts have been made by our fantastic iD Community over the month, with nearly as many responses and 185 likes received. You guys are on fire! We love seeing everyone work together to find solutions, and we’re on an ongoing mission to make it even simpler and more engaging. But without you, our wonderful members, the iD Community wouldn’t be half as good. So, a big thank you to everyone that’s asked questions, given answers, started chats, got into the conversation and done your thing.

The most popular Community categories over the past month were…

Ask A Question

Coverage & Network

Ask a Question: Quite a few queries over the past few weeks about out-of-plan charges and bill capping. Making sure your monthly bill stays at the agreed cost takes just a moment. All you need to do is make sure your bill cap is set to £0. This means that you won’t be able to call or text premium rate numbers, use more data than is included in your allowance, or send MMS messages. However, you still get 100% access to all your allowances.

To set your bill cap, log into the iD app or My Account online, and scroll to Cap My Extra Usage Charges on the dashboard. From there, you can set your limit between anywhere from £0 to £50. That way, you’re always one step ahead of your bills.

Don’t forget, we have a specific Bills & Charges category in the Community area that’s ideal for questions like this. Drop any query you have about all things bill-related here, and someone will get back to you with an answer at the perfect time.

Coverage & Network:  There were several posts on the Community in late June about a technical fault that affected the ability to make and receive voice calls. This affected other mobile networks as well as iD Mobile. We apologise to customers that were affected by this, and are able to confirm that this issue has been fully resolved. Everyone should now be able to use their devices to make voice calls. After all, that’s the number one reason for having a phone!
