Gmail doesn't send or receive

Hi, i have just moved over from Three network and brought my original number with me. I am using an old one plus 3 phone but for some reason, the Gmail app doesn’t send or receive mail to the phone.

Everything else seems to work fine but clearly something is wrong somewhere. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it again, removing the email address and putting it back on but i just can’t figure it out. I wonder if I’m having a senior moment here :)

Thanks for any help provided.

Forgot to mention, Gmail works fine when I use my wifi

That does sound odd @smig.

 

Have you tried logging into your Gmail through the browser, and then once signed in, selecting to “View in App”?

Hi Will,

 

Thanks for getting back to me. 

I found the answer by luck more than anything lol. It was an issue with google apps, they kind of take over everything don’t they.. I disabled and reset Gmail and it seems to work fine now.

Simple when you have luck on your side!

Good to hear things are working @smig, so was it essentially that you logged out and back in to your Google Account? 

Or was there more to it than that?
