Can I buy a SIM to use just minutes and texts with?

Trying to get a cheap sim for my father in law. He uses an older non smartphone. Does not need data or texts. He uses pay as you go at the minute but costing him 15-20 per month. Can he buy a sim with data from ID and use it on his older phone? The £5 sim with 2gb and 500 mins would do for £5. Just doesnt need the data. But will it work on his phone?

There's nothing stopping you purchasing a SIM for a phone and only using it for minutes and texts so this should work fine!
We would point out that, our network supports the 3G and 4G networks only.

If you father in laws handset is an older one that only supports 2G, then the SIM would not work in his handset.

We'd recommend finding out if the handset is 3G compatible. If it is, then there should be no problem here!

If you're stuck, just confirm the make and model of the handset and we'll try to find out for you!
