Error 38

All of a sudden after messaging a few people I am now getting error 38. I've turned my phone off and on again as suggested but still not working. Bills etc all paid and upto dateĀ

Have you tried the SIM in a different handset to see if that makes a difference?

My handset isn't the issue, I can send a text then go to respond after they have then can't send a textĀ

What sort of network coverage are you getting?

Does your handset have the latest software installed?

Could you please try and restart the handset and check if that makes any difference?

Hello @Kirsty Marie Downer,

I know youĀ said youā€™ve restarted your phone, bit itā€™s probably worth doing this again using the following procedure:

1)Ā Power down your phone
2) Remove the SIM and clean the contacts
3)Ā Wait 15 minutes, reinsert the SIM and power the phone back on.

If youā€™re still having issues, try performing a network reset.

Settings > General management or System > Reset > Reset network settings

iPhone

Settings > Reset > Reset Network Settings


The network reset will delete all saved Wi-Fi networks from your phone, so you'll need to set these up again.

If all else fails, you couldĀ try contacting iD using the ā€œLive Chatā€ service; one of their agents should be able to help.
