Help please! iPhone messages not sending Android phones

I got a new iPhone 12 a few weeks ago and at the same time changed my provider from O2 to iD. I transferred my old number to my new phone.
There are two problems: 1) When I text an android phone it comes up on my phone as Not Delivered. But the person I’m texting receives the text 3 times. 
2) Sometimes when I call or text someone, the number shown on the phone of the person receiving it shows up as the new number given to me with my new contract (which I’m not using) instead of the old one that I transferred. 
I hope all that makes sense. I’d very much appreciate some advice as it’s driving me mad!

Hello @Pamtino,

 

Try the following:

 

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)

2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)

3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.

4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number

5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)

6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.

 

This should hopefully fix the issue.

Hiya check your settings somehow I had mine on WiFi and not sms
