Moved from EE to ID - phone unlocked updates?

Hi Guys, 

I've just cancelled my EE contract and moved over to ID. My sim should be here tomorrow, EE have provided me with a code to unlock my phone as it was on contract with them.

My question is once unlocked and ID sim up and running where will future updates come from ID or the phone manufacturer Huawei as its a Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Hi @jtankard,

 

Any updates to the handset will come directly from the manufacturer. You’ll be prompted when new updates are available and then it’s just a case of accepting them. Always good to be connected to WiFi when it happens, just to save on data, as they can be pretty hefty downloads.
