I'm going to Australia for a minimum of 5 months. My contract doesn't expire until May 2026. What can I do?

Unfortunately your options are limited, and might be influenced by needing to keep your UK mobile number, @Damien Moore

Pay an early termination fee, to end your iD contract during the minimum term.

Alternatively, continue paying monthly, until the minimum term has finished, then switch to a low-cost PAYG service provider (keeping your UK mobile number), or give iD 30-days notice of cancellation.

Hey there @Damien Moore, as kindly advised by @andewhite, we aren’t able to offer a contract freeze or anything as such I’m afraid. As you’re in contract until May 2026, you’d have to continue making the monthly payments, whether used or not. You can use your device in Australia, however, you’ll be charged out of contract charges for data, calls and text usage. However, you can purchase a data add-on for Australia if needed.

Thanks,

Tyler
