My email is against my wifes account so I cant use it

I set up my wife's iD mobile on my email so now I can't register and manage my number. I have since amended her online account email to hers but I can't use my email as it says it is already in use

Hello @Paddy Eyres thanks for getting in touch.

I am afraid only one email address can be used for one account. Once this has been set up, it cannot be changed.

i have had the same problem but found a work around 

IE if your email address is PaddyEyres@gmail.com you can create an alias Paddy.Eyres@gmail.com

to register your phone with

gmail does not see the dot between the Y and E and sends it to your address i have done this tonight and it works logged into my account check the link on  lifewire site for full instructions

also if you have a gmail account

on the id site use googlemail not gmail this should also work hope this helps as there customer services tell you to get a new mail address not helpfull at all
