New phone needed before contract date ends

My daughter's phone has stopped working before her conract date is up.

Could I buy her a new phone but put it on the current contract or do I have to start a new contract?

Will I have to pay a fee to end the current contract?

Welcome to iD community. 

When does her contract expire? 

Unfortunately, adding a new phone to your current contract is not possible.

You can surely purchase a new contract ,but you may need to end the old connection where a termination fee would be applicable as her contract is not up or you would land up paying for two connection together.

How much is termination fee please?

Surely you shoulld get an offer of early upgrade? Look on carphone warehouse for early upgrades, on there there be a live chat link to so you ccan get more advice x

Welcome to the iD Community.

The earliest you can upgrade is 2 months before your contract end date. 

To check your termination fee, you simply:

  • Log in to the iD Mobile App or My Account online
  • Go to the ‘My Account’ Page
  • On the ‘Manage my plan’ tile, select ‘Thinking of leaving’
  • Select ‘ Start Switching Now’
  • Select ‘How much will leaving cost’ .

I have a similar issue and was offered a contract price 5 times costlier than I am on.
