P20 Lite won't send or receive texts

When I moved from a Moto G to my new Huawei P20 Lite the back up imported Contacts, Apps but none of my SMS messages. What is worse, it fails to send any SMS or receive them.

The problem is now sorted. All I had to do was turn the phone off and on again. I must say that the "Getting started" with the Huawei, is the worst I've expeienced.
