If i take out a £12 50gb sim for half price for first 3 months at £6, how much of that 50gb do I get to use in the eu with data roaming? Im guessing theres some bs rule that stops me using all 50 for £6

Not much according to the iD Mobile EU Roaming Fair Usage policy (see below):
If that’s not enough you could consider changing your mobile service provider - anyway, good luck.
