my sim card hasn't been working for a while so I was told that a new sim was going to be sent out to me. it has been 5 business days since and I haven't received my sim card, and when trying the live chat and ringing the number, I was hung up on or not replied to.

I recommend using the iD Live Chat service online to chase this up. Try:

Their 24/7 chat bot isn’t great - but iD Live Chat has real people from 9am to 8pm Mon - Fri and 9am to 6pm for weekends and bank holidays. You should type “talk to a person” to bypass the chat bot.
