SIM not allowed

I changed to an idmobile SIM for my Samsung S7 last year and it has been fine until now when I have just recieved the message 'sim not allowed' and I cannot make our recieved calls. I am not at all tech savvy and have no idea what to do.

Sorry to hear you're SIM isn't working.  

Have you tried the SIM in another phone?

Tacks for your reply. I've taken it out, cleaned it and put it back in, it seems ok now. Not sure what happened. I recieved the same message a couple of weeks ago, but the phone seemed to work ok.
