Transfer my old phone number (iD) to new contract also iD

Hi there, I know this may have been asked before but I thought I'd upgraded from a iD contract to a new iD contract.

It turns out I ordered a completely new contract. Question is:

How do I keep my existing iD phone number and transfer it to my new iD phone and contract.

I'm really confused.

I understand that I cannot move my number (07912508693) from my old ID contract to my new one. 

 

Please could you let me know how to proceed with cancellation, if indeed the phone number port is not possible.

Hi @Chrisj61 thanks for getting in touch.

I am afraid there is no way to transfer the number. When did you purchase the new contract? You may be able to return it, and then upgrade instead.

Hello Sian, thank you for getting back to me.

Oh really! Ok well the contract started on the 26th August and I put the new SIM in so the phone has been unboxed, charged and switched on.. 

What's the best option for me now?

I think you only keep your existing number when you upgrade.

If you really have got a new contract then you may have a problem.

I recommend using the Live Chat service to try and resolve your issue soonest.
To avoid the 24/7 Chat Bot when using Live Chat, type in “speak to an agent” or “talk to a person”.
