Transferring my old phone number

I joined iD mobile from BT about a month ago where I kept my old phone number. I was told it has been transferred however, some people can contact me on my old phone number whereas others only receive calls and texts from my new iD number. Every time I try to contact an agent it always says they’re busy. Hopefully someone here can help me!

Hi @neveanais,

I am sorry to hear this! Which phone are you using? Some phones need the number updating within the settings, especially iPhone devices.

If you have an iPhone then please:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Phone.
  3. Tap My Number.
  4. Use the delete button to remove the old number.
  5. Use the keypad to enter the new number.
  6. Tap Save.
  7. Restart the iPhone.

If that doesn’t work, please can you head to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?

For Android devices:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android.
  2. Scroll to and tap either "General management" or "System," depending on what device you have. ...
  3. Tap either "Reset" or "Reset options."
  4. Tap the words "Reset network settings." ...
  5. You'll have to confirm that you want to reset your network settings.
