Transferring old number

Hi,


I was hoping you could help on the below…

 

I submitted the form for my number to be transferred on Tuesday evening and when I send texts it still comes from a new number. Although when I get notifications, these come through to my correct (old) number.

 

I received a text from iD to say my number has been successfully ported but when sending texts, it’s not the right number.

Are you by any chance using an iPhone? If you answer will be yes then

Could you try following this steps Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from"

Sometimes it needs to be updated manually on Apple devices.

I have gone through the steps above and the wrong number is listed here - not the one I transferred across from my old phone.

Did you manage to update it to the correct number? Have you tested if it is working fine now? I hope it's all good now 🙂

Unfortunately not, the incorrect number is greyed out so I can’t edit this to my correct transferred number.
