Trouble with number port

Hello,

I need some help.

I recieved a new phone a few weeks ago.

I wanted to keep my old number and used the online form and nothing happened.

I got somebody on ive chat and they said that they would arranage for the issue to be sorted.

I have lost my old mobile provider and signal and not have a phone which has no coverage.

I am unable to rgister on the app as they sent a code by text.

Please help.

Hello @Seosamh,

When did you speak to someone to sort this?

If you've lost your old provider signal now, it sounds like the port is in progress.

Can you confirm after a restart if the number has been ported?

Thanks for the reply.

I had a live chat conversation on the 17th of September with a member of the ID team.

I have saved a copy of the chat. (excerpt below)

I’ve processed this on the system for you now and everything will be activated within 1 working day, once completed you will receive a confirmation text. You might just need to restart your phone to get this working.

The number has not been ported and I have no coverage when I am not using my home broadband.

I tried to get through to the live chat after the 18th of September but it was not available. I tried to get through to some by phone and it just kept me in a loop with no access to a real ID employee. I contacted ID through Twitter and again they pointed me to the website.

Is your old line that you’re bringing the number over from still active?

No, the old line is dead.

The phone has no signal and all the issues that brings;

Unable to register on the ID App as it requires a text conformation.

Please escalate very very very poor response so far.

Is this going to be death by a 1000 questions before the issue is resolved?
