unable to access app

My wife as a ID account (as do I). She is registered, we know this because if we have tried to register a new account and are told she is already registered.

We may have forgotten the password, but if we try to recover or try to change it we are asked for her surname/mobile number/year of birth. We obviously know this information and enter it, only to be told there is a problem. We just seem to go around in circles going nowhere. Trying to phone ID is useless. We are told to use the app to fix problems, but we can’t access the app …..
