I was so excited when I placed my order with Carphone Warehouse for the iPhone 11 on iD Mobile and couldn’t wait for it to arrive as I’ve left my previous (or rather current) network and a family member is waiting to receive my old (again, or rather current) phone. Yet, an hour or so after placing the order, I received an email from Carphone Warehouse to say I needed to call them and provide more information. I called and they said iD Mobile had declined the order! Apparently it’s because I’m young and don’t have a good enough credit history… I’m in my 20s, pay my own rent, taxes, car insurance and phone bill! I’ve never missed a payment on anything including monthly subscriptions and my credit rating is excellent (according to Experian). If someone would like to clarify as to why my order was declined then that would be nice. Better yet, will someone please accept it so I can treat myself and a family member in a rough time?!

You could try PAYG or switch to another service provider who doesn’t make use of credit reference agencies.
