I had wi fi calling with my previous provider, but now the same phone doesn't offer it as an option. Can I get it back?

Go to settings / mobile data / WiFi calling / turn on.

Do you get WiFi signal on top of screen.

As I said, it's not on any menu in settings.

It does say ' access Internet via mobile', so maybe that's the same thing?

Definitely no wi fi calling option.

Hello @Woodburner,

Which handset are you using the SIM in?

Where did you purchase the device from?

Mohammed

Samsung A3 2017. Purchased through EE.

Does G4 replace wi fi calling? I seem to be connected when I am at home, but out of phone signal range.

Hi @Woodburner

You will need to be within range of a WiFi signal to be able to use WiFi calling.

Please can you follow the below steps to turn on WiFi Calling:

  1. Press Phone.
  2. Press the menu icon.
  3. Press Settings.
  4. Press Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Press the indicator to turn the function on or off.
  6. When Wi-Fi calling is active, the Wi-Fi calling icon is displayed.
  7. Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Michelle

Thanks, but I do not have the wi fi calling option, so I can't press it.

It was available with my previous provider,(same phone) but it's vanished.

Hello @Woodburner,

It may be due to the firmware on the device.

I know someone on the forums mentioned they deleted their APN settings, removed the SIM and restarted, then re-inserted the SIM when connected to Mobile data and this helped them.

You could give this a try to see if it works?
