Hello,

I’m considering better options for getting onto the internet in the middle North York Moors, with eight miles of copper to the nearest phone exchange providing about 1.6mbps; but direct line of sight to a 4G cellular mast that currently provides around 40mbps via GiffGaff.

Unfortunately, GiffGaff won’t entertain the idea of using that for unlimited internet through a 4G router with one of their SIM cards.

What’s the score with ID Mobile?

Hey @Tobster

iD Mobile does allow tethering for their sim deals but does not officially support it, in a sense of setting it up and running.  If you will be able to set it up yourself then you will be fine to use it without restrictions.

Thing with Giffgaff is that, they do not offer Unlimited data, they offer "Always on" data which basically means that, when you spend your 4G allowance then your speed goes down to necesarry minimum.

Kind Regards.
