Charged for setting up contract?

I just got an iD sim only contract, and the people at the store needed to check my card was working to set up the account. Turns out the system wasn't working correctly and they had to repeat this several times. I now have 5 £1 charges on my account for that, when they told me this would incur in no cost. Anyone knows anything about this?

I'm sorry to hear that the payment was taken for five £1 transactions.

The £1 transactions are usually taken and bounce back into your account within 5 working days.

If the payments are not in there after that you can get back to us and we can advise you further.
