I got a new contract with ID a few month back, meant to be paying £16.99 a month, first month I did, this month however my bill has come at £24.81, I haven't used the contract at all, only the phone! I got a text (the usual text of it could go up but only by 40p) I can't even phone customer service to find out why I have been charged so much! How do I find out why I am paying almost a fiver more than I should be!?
Hi
Welcome to the iD Community.
Have you been able to view the bill, though the iD Mobile app or MyAccount online? This should explain why the bill is this high.

Pav

Why they have been charging me extra £4.60 for domestic text? When i have unlimited text free they been chrging me since 3 months extra? Why? Can someone tell me I don’t want them to chrge me that extra when i only pay £5 a month but i am paying £9.60 £9.50 a month why?
Hi
It sounds like you’ve signed up for a premium text service.
iD Mobile is not able to provide a refund for these charges as the text subscriptions are signed up to from the user end and not by the network. We're unable to stop these or unsubscribe you to these from our end. In most cases, you will need to text STOP to the number to stop the subscription. Doing so may incur a further charge for sending the text, however, it should stop any further communication from them.
If you did not sign up to this subscription yourself and believe you have been scammed, we'd urge you to first contact the company directly to obtain a refund (and be removed from their mailing lists).
There's a regulatory body called the Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) who regulate these companies. You can use their website at https://psauthority.org.uk to locate the information about the company.
If you've already contacted the company and failed to retrieve a resolution, you can make a complaint via PSA directly. Please also see the following article which refers to this type of situation: https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/im-being-charged-for-unwanted-premium-rate-text-messages it may provide some further insight into these types of subscriptions.
I hope this helps.
