At the beginning of every month when I start a new contract I lose 50Mb of data without even using my phone. As I only get 1.5Mb per month on my plan this is not an insignificant amount. Any ideas?

The reason for this fixed amount disappearing is because the iD Mobile App reserves 50mb when in use to try to ensure you’d have the space to look up anything or make any changes you’d want whilst there.
Anything that wasn’t actually used would be released back into your allowance, so this would never go wasted.
