Data roaming charge when mobile data turned off abroad

Hello. I have an iPhone 6 and am 11 days in to a three week trip in Mumbai. I turned my mobile data setting off before I left the UK as I always do before travelling to a non-roaming country. Yesterday I received a text from iD saying that I had used 100% of my data roaming cap, which is now leading to an expensive bill. I have not turned my data roaming on so was surprised to receive this. Can anyone help with this as I would like these costs taken off my bill. Thanks in advance, Ross

Hi @rossbrennan44,

We wouldn't have a data roaming cap but just a general cap on out-of-allowance usage which includes calls and texts/MMS whilst roaming, along with data.

If you do feel that you have been charged in error then please contact our Live Chat team here so we can take a look at the bill for you.

Thanks,
Ryan.
