I am being billed after my contract and phone order was cancelled by ID.

On Tuesday I purchased and set up a direct debit for a new contract with ID, for a Google Pixel 3a. ID confirmed that everything was set up and ready to go and I should get delivery details from DPD the next day.

 

Nothing happened the next day, so I contact ID and ask what was going on. They tell me there is a ‘note on the account’ which says the contract has been denied, and that they are not able to give me a reason.

 

Yesterday I decided to go with a different provider, EE, through Fonehouse and I am getting my handset soon.

 

TODAY I get an email for my FIRST MONTHLY BILL with ID. How is this possible in any way? And of course the Live Chat is down, so here I’m left shouting at the sky.

 

Thanks for a terrible experience with no immediate solution ID.
