When was the NHS unlimited data add-on applied? A text would have been sent to confirm?
Have you checked your iD bill to see a breakdown of the charges?

Charges are for the usage the month prior. If the add-on was applied after you had already incurred this out of plan usage, the add-on would not negate the charges and you’d still be liable for this.
