Paying Direct Debit from foreign bank account

Is it possible to pay the bill using a Spanish bank account?

I have tried to change the direct debit on my online account, but it asks for a sort code, which I do not think Spanish accounts use.

I'm afraid that the direct debit can only be taken from a UK bank account. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
