I was charged £4.50 for a text I received from a company I have never heard of. I have since blocked the number. How can I get my money back?

Hi @lesmuse

With this particular issue, the best way to get it resolved would be to get in contact with the company sending the texts.
You can find ways to contact them by inputting the number you have received the texts from at;

I emailed the company and received no response.

My extra usage charges are capped at £5. Last month I was charge £4.50 for texts I never asked for.

I blocked their number but have been charged another £4.50 already in the new billing period. I wanted to set my extra charges to 0 but was charged £4.50 again before I could do so. I’m trapped paying these criminals £4.50 a month.

Could you refund me and also manually lower my extra charges to £0 please?

Hi there @lesmuse

These aren’t services that we have any hand in either signing you up for nor can we stop them from our side.

However you can get in touch with any of these kinds of companies directly yourself using the PSA website link (like @AklimaRahman mentioned above).

If you’ve had no response back from the company in question then please let the PSA know as they’re essentially the ombudsman for text subscriptions services like that.

We have a more detailed guide on the whole thing in this other community post here:
