Hello,

I have unlimited text allowance.

However I have been charged for twice for sending one text.

Is there a support person I could contact to clarify this?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Hel,

Due to the amount charged, this looks like it could be from sending a picture message (MMS) to someone, or an attachment/emoji has been included which has caused the phone to convert the message into an MMS message.

Do you remember this happening at all on the conversation to that number on 09th February?

Dear Ryan,

Thank you for your message.

Yes I have the history on my phone. I sent a normal text. Only once.

Hi again @Hel

You can find out more on what texts could potentially be chargeable here:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/mms-charges

  • Your text includes a photograph, emoticon, GIF, video or sound clip.
  • Your text has more than 160 characters.
  • You send a text to an email address.
  • You send a text to enter a competition or make a donation.
  • You send a text with a subject line on it.
  • You use iPhone Messages to send a text to a non-iPhone user.

If your texts didn’t meet any of the criteria there, then we’d need to confirm some security questions with you and speak to you more directly in order to look into your account directly and find out more on the specific texts you’ve been charged on.

We’ll also be able to investigate your other query mentioned elsewhere relating to local coverage in-depth there too.

If you could, please get in touch with us either through one of the following:
