Wrong charges - MMS texts I didn't send

I’m being charged for multi media messages out of plan that I did not send.

How can I query these with ID Mobile when there is no way of contacting them.

Hello @Neil Welch,

 

MMS Messages are not included in the plan and charged at 30p per MMS.

This can happen if your phone is converting SMS messages into MMS messages via it’s settings.

This can happen when:

A text is greater than 160 characters

A text contains an emoji or picture

A text was sent to a group of contacts

 

To prevent this, you can change your settings in the Messaging app you’re using.

Messages > Settings and then find the option that references the convert SMS to MMS.

 

Usually, when you’re typing your text, it’ll also tell you if it’s going to be sent as an SMS or MMS on most smart phones.

Another way to prevent this is set a cap on the account at £0.00 which will prevent you from sending an MMS message.

You’ll then know what’s causing your message to be carried this way.
