Purchased for one month only

I have just purchased SIM only because it is one month contract only. I can see now that I actually will need the card literally for one month. A cancellation should be requested 30 days before the end of the contract. How can I do it if I did not receive the sim card yet? What is the procedure for people signing only one month contract (default)?
