How to check your coverage

We’ve got a handy online coverage checker that lets you find out the signal strength in your area. You can search by postcode - so you can check all the places you usually use your phone, like your home and work addresses. You can also view both 3G and 4G coverage.

Use the iD Coverage Checker now

Please note: the coverage checker is a computer-generated prediction, so please use it as a guide only. We try to make it as accurate as possible, but it's not a guarantee of actual signal coverage. For example - no mobile network can guarantee how strong your indoor signal will be, because the signal strength needed to pass through walls and other features varies from building to building.

Tips to improve your mobile signal

First of all, use our coverage checker to see if your area is covered, especially if you're having trouble getting a steady signal.

Next, there are a few steps you can follow to try to boost your signal:

1. Try to move location. If the fault is indoors, sometimes switching rooms can help.

2. Turn your phone off for 10 seconds and restart the device. Yes, this old trick really does help!

3. Try your SIM card in another device that’s unlocked to the iD network.

If the above tips don’t make any difference, you can let us know you're experiencing coverage issues by logging a coverage fault with our Live Chat agents. We'll investigate the cause of the fault and try to get you up and running as soon as possible.

If you’ve any other questions or comments about coverage, feel free to post it below
