When I try to connect, I get an NOS message on screen. I am using my SIM in a TPLink Mini Router 4GLTE and it works perfectly in the UK but I have brought it to Portugal and I cannot get connected. Roaming is ONn in my account and on the router but all I get when trying to connect is NOS on screen.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
David

Hi David, if you've used the device whilst in the UK but it is not working abroad, this is most likely related to the APN settings that can often affect data services when roaming if not configured correctly.

Does the router allow you to change these settings?

Name iD
APN id
Username
Password

MMSC http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
MMS Proxy mms.idmobile.co.uk
MMS APN Username
MMS APN Password
MMS Port 8799

I have a similar problem. Using my MotoE2 phone as a WiFi hotspot works fine at home (UK) but on recent holiday in Crete, my Tablet (when connected to the phone as a hotspot) could not connect to the internet even though the phone could as a stand alone device.
Any thoughts?

I accessed the router Admin and changed the APN from three.co.uk to id and it worked! Nothing else to do, it seems. Thank you, Phil, for your help.
