Phone not ringing when called

Forgive me if this has been resolved before but I can’t seem to discover the answer.

I have just changed tariff recently (approx 1 week ago) and since then when somebody tries to call me my phone does not ring, in fact nothing is displayed on the screen. When  I speak to the caller via another method they tell me it sometimes rings but othertimes there’s just silence.

Coverage is 4/5 bars

I need to get this resolved for work so any help would be great thanks

Hi @GezB 

We are sorry to hear you are having issues receiving calls. Is it the same with receiving text messages? Please can try to reset your network settings as this will refresh the network on your phone. If this still does not work, please do a factory data restore on your handset as this will eliminate any software faults on your handset causing you not to make calls.

Hi @Mohsin 

Thanks for the response.

Couple of points:

  1. Text not working either
  2. No new apps installed for the last six months
  3. I will not factory default my phone as it will take hours to setup again
  4. it works perfectly with my wife's EE sim card

this indicates to me that either there was an issue with the network or the SIM.

I’ll see how it goes today and try and let you know

Ok a couple of days have passed now and all seems to be working ok.

So thanks for your response earlier

Looks like it was a network issue.
