New SIM not receiving text

New to ID, set up transfer of old number yesterday, so realise PAC code will not have been set up yet. I can make calls and send texts on my new (temporary) ID number. However, I cannot receive texts at all (on my ID number or old Virgin one). Emails are fine. Is this normal?

Hey @Suttonteacher,

Sounds like it may be due to the port being in progress.

When did you submit the port?

Have you since tried restarting your handset?

If a port is in progress, they can usually be issues with both the temporary number and the number you're porting.

Thanks, I don't know how to delete this or mark as answered. The issue was sorted, it was due to be in mid porting.
