I recently got an Iphone xr on id mobile. I am unable to send text messages or make phone calls. The phone was purchased on the 27th of November and i was unable to phone or text. When i try to make a call it just says that i have reached my cap even though i have unlimited calls and texts. My data also works fine so i am puzzled.

Make sure your account is active. You have good balance in account.

Restart mobile, remove sim and insert in sim1 slot.

Change default calling and texting apps.

Hi there @Leo05

Have you recently ported a number over to us?

If so, it could be an issue with the iPhone holding on to the wrong number since the port.

Could you try the following:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.

Hello @Leo05,

Is it a standard UK mobile number you are trying to call or text?

Please can you confirm the first 4 digits of the number?

Hi @Leo05,

Please can you try a network reset on your phone? This can be done through Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Let us know if this helps at all.
