block sim on app not working

Hi, my id account is for my teenage daughter, and we use the “block sim” function on the app to stop her using her phone (usually as a punishment!)

hiwever yesterday this function stopped working ..when I tried to block it just said “your sim is active”

I had to contact id to get the sim blocked and will have to do so again, which is a bit of a pest.. can anyone help? Thanks!

We are not aware of any issues with this function. Please can you try rebooting the phone and trying to block the SIM again?

Hi thanks for the reply- I actually was on live chat to your colleague about this… they suggested it had been blocked too many times? She said I could only block and unblock once in a 24 hour period? Is this correct?

Hi @alanpenman44,

I’m not aware of the limit being once per day, however the feature is intended to be used to block a SIM card if it was lost or stolen, so doing this multiple times in a short period of time may cause issues.
