Getting existing SIM card to work in a new phone

Hello!

Hoping someone can help me :)

My elderly neighbour has asked for my help as he can’t get to grips with his fancy smart phone and wants to use his new Ondial F881 which is a lovely simple handset for older people who struggle with modern smartphones.

Thought it would simply be a case of putting his existing ID mobile sim in the new handset but unfortunately when I do it doesn’t seem to work and says it can only make emergency calls.

I can see that the Ondial handset is not on the list of “ID mobile approved handsets”. Do I really need to change to a different mobile provider?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi @Julian Humphries,

It’s likely that the handset doesn’t support our SIM.

Can you please try the SIM in a different handset and check if it works. If so it means that the handset won’t support our SIM card.
