I ported in from Vodafone 2 days ago and since have been unable to access some of my personal accounts due to an inability to receive verification codes and OTPs. I desperately need this resolved. Lots of advice regarding Apple and iMessage but I'm Android Oppo!
Okay
- On your device, open Messages
- At the top right, tap Settings
- Tap ‘Chat features’
- Toggle 'Enable chat features' to OFF.
- Turn the phone off, wait 15 minutes, then power on the phone
- Try sending & receiving text messages.
Google added ‘Chat features’ to messaging, which makes things more complicated when switching phones and porting numbers.
