How do I request new iPhone to be unlocked?

OK, I'm an idiot. I had my iPhone SE in my pocket while in a small boat that capsized and the phone got soaked through!

I went out and bought a second hand iPhone SE (marked "Any network") from a reputable high street dealer, stuck the SIM in it and get the message "The SIM card you have currently installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy currently assigned by the activation server... request this phone be unlocked by your carrier."

But I can't find any advice on ID's website as to how to go about this.

Any suggestions?

Oh no @BadSailor,

That's unfortunate to hear!

We'd recommend contacting the retailer you purchased this from as the handset purchased appears to be locked to an existing network. We can only unlock a handset that is locked to our network.

They should be able to assist further.
