I have an iPhone 12 with an ID sim and I am in a location with 5G but my phone uses 4G. In my phone’s settings there are only options to use 4G or 3G. How do I activate 5G?

thanks for your question. Can i ask if you have updated your iPhone to the most recent software?
If you have, you should be able to select ‘Settings’ > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Voice & Data > and then select 5G auto or 5G on. There should also be a text which describes the difference between 5G Auto and 5G On, it’s basically to do with battery consumption.

I just updated my iPhone. When I go into the settings that you described the options are still only 4G and 3G.
