View originalThe first bill is generated pretty quickly when you take out a mobile phone contract or pay monthly SIM only contract (same for all networks). So, even though you cancelled within the 14 days cooling off period the the payment was likely already requested before the account was closed.

You should be aware that although you may have cancelled during the cooling off period, you may still be charged for any days that you had use of the service.
11.4.3 If you wish to return your iD Mobile connection within the 14-day cooling off period, you may be charged at standard price for any data used from this allowance.

So there may be a final bill generated and any overpayment refunded.
