Completely confused!
Have ported my number over after joining ID mobile. (On an iPhone 11).
SMS says ‘cannot send’ but actually sends 3 copies, phone calls work but my number has vanished from iMessage.
Have tried to follow help on here but ‘my number’ is wrong (still showing old number) and won’t let me change it! (Just keeps reverting back).
Any ideas??
Remove the SIM, turn off your phone for at least 10 minutes then try changing the "My Number" bit again. Ten toggle iMessage off and on. Should do the trick

it’s not changed unfortunately. :-( It lets me change the number but won’t save and keeps reverting back to the temporary number!

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.
